About Me
My name’s Jamie, and I’m a Client Relationship Manager here at Baggette + Co.
My role mainly involves supporting our advisers and paraplanners throughout the advice process and ensuring everything runs smoothly. I handle correspondence with providers and clients, processing new business, and support our clients every step of the way.
I’m extremely energetic, passionate, and adventurous – always looking for a challenge and something to get stuck into. I genuinely love what I do, not just because I enjoy the work itself, but also because of the amazing people I work with and my strong interest in personal finance and financial advice. To build on this passion, I’m currently working towards my Diploma in Financial Planning, with the aim of eventually becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.
My Professional Background
I’ve recently left school, having completed my A-Levels at Brockenhurst College in 2024. I really enjoyed studying economics, which naturally led me towards the financial sector.
I have previous experience at another wealth management firm, which meant I joined with a solid foundation in the financial advice industry.
Outside of finance, my first professional experience was in retail, where I developed strong customer relationship skills that have prepared me well for my client-focused role at the firm.
What Drives Me in My Role
What drives me in my role is the simple idea that my job is to help people. The financial world can often seem daunting to those unfamiliar with it, but here at Baggette + Co., we pride ourselves on being no-nonsense and making financial advice accessible and straightforward.
Another big motivator for me is professional development. Jo Hjalmas (Managing Director) and Oscar Hjalmas (CEO) are strong advocates for upskilling and continuous learning, so there’s always a real push to improve and gain new qualifications. I’m someone who always wants to keep progressing, so the culture they’ve built here is a perfect fit for me.
Life Outside of Work
Outside of work, my biggest interest is motorsport — I’m a huge fan of anything fast and exciting. I love watching races and occasionally taking part myself at local venues. Another big passion of mine is music. I really enjoy playing the electric guitar and seeing my favourite bands live. Every now and then, my friends and I get together to play in a band, which is always a great time.
I also love spending time with my family and friends. You’ll often find me playing pool, going to the gym, or heading off on adventures along the South Coast and beyond.
