Oscar Hjalmas holds the position of Chairman and Chartered Financial Planner. Since joining the industry in 2006, his focus is on investment and pensions. Oscar is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments, and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Oscar specialises in working with business owners in Dorset.

Jo is a highly experienced and qualified Chief Operating Officer; her background is in Executive Business Management. She holds an MBA from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass). After working as a Commercial Pilot, primarily in Medical Evacuation operations, she was the UK Academy Director at L3Harris, one of the largest UK pilot training organisations, heading up the training of new cadet pilots. Latterly, she worked at ZeroAvia, developing hydrogen-electric engines for aerospace. This has allowed her to understand the importance of quality, safety, and delivery.

She is a driven individual, appropriately mixing her passion for client focus and operational integrity with empathy and humility.

Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter in the Dorset and Hampshire countryside.

Keith Baggette is the original Founder of Baggette & Company and a Chartered Financial Adviser which is recognised in the industry as the ‘gold standard’ for financial planners in the United Kingdom.

He has over 35 years of experience working in financial services, most of which has been spent advising clients.

He specialises in pensions and investment management but has qualifications in all the key areas of financial planning, including pensions, investment, taxation, trusts, lifetime planning, and mortgages. Keith also holds a Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management, accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Outside of work, Keith served as Chairman of the Dorset Growth Hub Investment Panel, working to support the economic growth of Dorset businesses.

In his spare time, Keith is also a keen sailor.

Neil Surtees is an Independent Financial Adviser with over 22 years’ of experience in the financial services industry.

He can advise on all areas of Financial Planning.  He has a particular specialty in advising on Pensions and Investments.  He holds Advance Pensions Qualifications which enables him to advise on all types of Occupational / Final Salary pensions – and the transfers thereof.  Also very well versed in helping clients plan for and choose the best options for accessing their benefits at retirement.

Neil lives locally in Poole and is always available in the office – or if preferred, can visit your home or workplace.

Neil previously completed a full 22-year career in the British Army before becoming an Independent Financial Adviser.  He is also a registered ‘Caseworker’ for SSAFA – the Armed Forces Charity.

Stuart is a highly experienced professional with over 35 years’ experience in wealth management, investment and retail banking, sales, and Senior Leadership roles.

With a breadth of knowledge and expertise in advising clients, he is a valued member of the Baggette Wealth Management team not only in respect of offering Financial Planning advice but also in respect of business networking, mentoring, and coaching.

Stuart holds Chartered Wealth Management status with the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments and a full Financial Planning Diploma held with the Chartered Insurance Institute.

With a career in Wealth Management across various banks including Coutts & Co as well as holding a Regional Sales Director position with NatWest and a Senior Leadership and Development position with Aviva, he has also successfully run his own businesses.

Stuart is passionate about helping all clients understand, develop, and grow their wealth and achieve financial security.

Outside of work, he is a keen golfer and he also has an interest in preparing healthy food to sustain a healthy lifestyle.

Daniel has worked in financial services for well over 10 years, starting his career at one of the largest Life and Pension providers in the UK. He is a Holistic Financial adviser with a particular focus on Pensions and investment advice. He holds a Full Diploma in Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute  (CII) and has begun studying towards Chartered status.

In his spare time, he enjoys cycling around the New Forest, Trail running, and regularly competes in running events for Westbourne Running Club.

Steve has over 35 years of experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry. He prides himself in delivering a clear, precise, and first-class service when dealing with both personal and professional clients including famous actors and actresses. He is a fully qualified IFA and can advise on estate planning including Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney, and Trusts.

His client base continues to grow, mainly from recommendations from existing clients.

Daniel is Baggette & Company’s new Protection Specialist. He has worked in financial services for twenty years including for one of the UK’s largest insurers and more recently a national mortgage broker.

He will be advising clients on how to protect their homes, families, and income should the unfortunate happen. Also, Daniel works with businesses to ensure that business owners and employers are protected should the owners or key employers die or fall ill.

Aidan is a Mortgage Adviser with over two decades in the Financial Services Industry. Committed to assisting clients in finding the perfect mortgage tailored to their needs, Aidan possesses an in-depth understanding of the mortgage market and lenders’ criteria. 

His extensive knowledge enables him to navigate the mortgage market, ensuring that each client receives a tailored solution for their specific situation whether they are first-time buyers or portfolio buy-to-let landlords. Peter is a mortgage adviser with two decades of experience in the Financial Services industry. He is passionate about helping people find the right mortgage for their needs and goals. Peter is committed to providing his clients with the best possible service, and he is always available to answer their questions and help them through the mortgage process from start to finish.

Peter has extensive knowledge of lenders criteria to support him in finding the best deals for his clients. He is a great listener and takes the time to understand his clients’ financial situation and their needs.

Peter is married to Sally, they moved from Billericay, Essex to Wimborne Minster in 2021. They bought a new build home and really enjoyed the experience, so Peter has since made new builds one of his specialist areas and helped many of his customers buy a brand-new home.

Peter’s other specialist areas are helping first-time buyers across the UK realise their dreams of home ownership. Along with helping remortgage customers and home movers find the best deals for them. He is aware that the mortgage journey can be a daunting process and takes the time to understand his clients’ individual circumstances. He has the skills to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise way.

In his spare time, Peter loves to do home improvements with Sally, who is a graphic designer. They make a great team, and they have transformed their home into a beautiful space. They also love taking their dog, a Cockapoo called Alfie, for long walks around Dorset, which often culminates in a pint and Sunday roast!

Dylan has recently started at Baggette + Co. as a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mortgage Adviser, eager to bring a high level of service, understanding, and dedication to the clients he’ll be working with in the UK housing market.

Although he possesses a strong understanding of current mortgage products and regulation, he doesn’t want to stop his development there as he’s passionate to expand his skillset for further professional growth.

In his spare time, Dylan likes to keep active, whether thats in the gym or outside in the sun, paddleboarding, and hiking around the Dorset coastline with his friends.

Tanya became the Executive Assistant to the Baggette & Company Directors in 2023. She brings with her a wealth of experience having previously supported Directors at Bournemouth University and LV=.

When you visit the office, it is likely that Tanya will be the first person you meet. She is critical for ensuring that the office runs smoothly, and we are all grateful for the organised and cheerful spirit that she brings to the team.

Outside of work, Tanya enjoys running, spending time with her grown up children, and looking after Molly the Cavapoo.

Pam is a Business Risk and Compliance expert having worked within the Financial Services industry for over 35 years with previous experience as an IFA, Compliance Officer, Business Risk Consultant, and operating as a director.

Over the last 20 years, Pam has built a first-class reputation within the world of Compliance & Business Risk. She worked for two major compliance support firms before starting her own business, helping firms understand and navigate their ever-changing regulatory requirements effectively.

Her qualifications include the Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip PFS), the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP), and the Certificate in Equity Release, enabling her to work with all individuals within the firm providing risk-based compliance support.

Outside of work Pam is a fine-weather dog walker, enjoys all forms of needlework, and can often be found making a mess with her Grandchildren!

Sandra brings a wealth of experience to Baggette + Co. as a Compliance Manager and has over 20 years of financial services experience in various roles including Paraplanning.  She is passionate about making sure the clients have the best possible journey from the initial meeting to the final advice ensuring the best outcome for clients’ circumstances.

Sandra qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner in 2013 and is currently working towards becoming a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, she enjoys helping others to develop themselves in a similar fashion, whilst providing compliance support to the company.

Sandra has worked for a variety of Financial Planning organisations both in the UK and abroad and joined the team as a Compliance Manager in September 2023.

Outside work Sandra loves swimming and is a swimming teacher for a local swimming club.  In her free time with her twin boys, she keeps chickens and loves to travel.

Tom has 17 years’ experience working in financial services, 8 of which have been spent working for a National IFA and qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner in 2013.

A particular area of interest to Tom is devising and preparing plans for clients’ to achieve their retirement aspirations. Tom is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Tom also supports and mentors the paraplanning team with their development.

Tom lives locally with his wife and in his spare time enjoys getting out into our local countryside, both walking and cycling.

Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Senior Paraplanner Team as he has worked in the Financial Services industry for many years and has spent time during his career at Barclays Bank and several firms of IFAs. Paul is qualified to DipFA level and has a Business Management & Teaching degree.

He is a firm believer in having a clear business focus and the importance of relationship management with clients. In his spare time Paul enjoys nothing more than spending time with his family.

Louise Perry is a Paraplanner with over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, previously working in Investment Banking and Stockbroking.  Louise holds a Diploma in Financial Planning, an Investment Operations Certificate and an Investment Advice Diploma with the CISI.

She is married and enjoys spending time with her young family.

Jess is a Paraplanner who has worked in Financial Services for over 10 years. In 2020 she attained the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.

Jess lives in Southbourne with her partner and young son Jack. In her spare time Jess enjoys spinning, weightlifting, and socialising with friends and family.

Lucy has worked in financial services since 1999 and is FPC qualified. Her experience and knowledge of all aspects of financial planning administration enables her to smoothly deliver a great service to colleagues and clients alike. Lucy’s excellent communication skills combined with her natural tenacity makes her a senior and valuable member of our client services team.

Away from work Lucy enjoys spending time with her young family but has never forgotten her roots. Growing up in the wilds of Exmoor, riding horses every spare minute of the day, is evident in her genuine love for the outdoors.

Dan joined Baggette and Company in April 2022 with over 3 years’ experience in Financial Services, in particular specialising in pensions.

He is looking to progress within the sector and has started studying towards his Financial Planning Diploma, adding this to a Business Management Degree obtained from his time studying at Bath University.

In his spare time, Dan enjoys socialising with friends, going to the gym and cycling in the Dorset countryside (weather permitting).

Laura joined Baggette and Company in January 2024 with over 6 years’ experience in Financial Services.

She is currently studying towards her Financial Planning Diploma after completing RO1 last year.

Laura lives locally with her partner and her cat called Kevin. In her spare time, Laura enjoys photography, travelling with her partner and the Formula 1.

Lisa joined the team at Baggette & Company in April 2020 to assist in the setting up of the new mortgage team. Lisa has over 35 years’ experience working in the banking and finance sector.

Lisa is married with 3 sons and 1 granddaughter. She loves spending time with her family in the great outdoors and has a keen passion for cooking.

Samantha joined Baggette and Company in July 2023 with over 3 years’ experience in Financial Services and 5 years’ experience in Mortgages (BTL, Residential, 2^nd Charge Loans).

She is looking to progress within the Mortgage Sector and is aiming to complete her Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CEMAP).

Away from work Samantha has a passion for the Gym and is a keen sportswoman, she thoroughly enjoys spending time with her young family and her Cockapoo.
