Financial Adviser Development Academy is designed for those looking to build a long-term career in financial planning through real experience, structured learning and ongoing support. Read on to find out more about the Academy and how to apply.

Programme Structure

Our Financial Adviser Development Academy is designed as a clear financial career pathway, not simply a training programme.

From the outset, you’ll follow a structured roadmap that combines real, hands-on experience at Baggette + Co. Wealth Management with a Level 4 Financial Adviser Apprenticeship, supporting progression into a full-time Financial Adviser role with us, subject to successful completion.

The programme runs on a full-time basis, with a four-day working week and one dedicated study day, allowing you to balance professional experience with structured learning. You’ll also benefit from regular check-ins, annual appraisals and pay reviews, alongside a six-month probation period at the outset.

While the overall career pathway is clearly defined, specific training content and structure may evolve over time in line with our training partner, SkillsEdge, and regulatory requirements.

See below for the full career pathway.

Years 1 & 2

The first year of our Financial Adviser Development Academy focuses on building strong, real-world foundations within Baggette + Co. Wealth Management.

You’ll join the business full time as a Financial Services Administrator, becoming fully embedded within the business rather than placed in a separate training environment. This hands-on experience provides a genuine insight into professional financial planning and wealth management, while showing how our Financial Advisers are supported to deliver high-quality advice to clients.

Alongside your role, you’ll study towards and complete your CF1 qualification, combining technical learning with day-to-day experience. You’ll work closely with our Financial Advisers, gain insight into client journeys, and understand how the wider business operates — including our Client Services, Paraplanning and Operations teams.

In Year 2, remaining within the Client Services team, you’ll step into a Client Relationship Manager role and begin your formal training in partnership with SkillsEdge, our chosen training provider.

Years 3 & 4

Years three and four are focused on developing your technical expertise through a dedicated role within our Paraplanning team.

You’ll work closely with both our Paraplanners and Independent Financial Advisers, gaining a deeper understanding of research, suitability reports and the technical detail that underpins high-quality financial planning. This hands-on experience allows you to apply your growing knowledge in real client scenarios, strengthening your analytical skills and attention to detail.

These years are designed to build the technical competence and professional judgement required to support advisers effectively and prepare you for the next stage of your development.

Years 5 & 6

Year five marks your transition into working directly within the Financial Advising team at Baggette + Co. Wealth Management, where you’ll begin applying your technical knowledge in a more client-facing advisory environment.

During the next two years, you’ll support our Independent Financial Advisers more closely, gaining exposure to client meetings, advice preparation and review processes. This stage is designed to help you develop confidence in professional judgement, communication and relationship management, while continuing to build your understanding of holistic financial planning and wealth management.

You’ll receive ongoing feedback and guidance from experienced Independent Financial Advisers and Chartered Financial Planners, helping you build confidence as you take on greater responsibility within the advising team.

Beyond The Academy

Upon successful completion of the Financial Adviser Development Academy, and subject to passing all required elements, you will be offered a full-time position at Baggette & Co. Wealth Management as a qualified Independent Financial Adviser.

At Baggette & Co., we believe that great financial planning is built on continuous learning. Your development doesn’t stop at qualification — we actively support ongoing professional growth throughout your career. This includes guidance and support as you work towards Chartered Financial Planner status, alongside any additional exams, training or professional development that will enhance your expertise and progression.

We are committed to long-term careers, not short-term training outcomes. As part of the Baggette & Co. team, you’ll be encouraged to grow both professionally and personally, with opportunities to expand your knowledge, refine your specialisms and develop as a trusted Financial Adviser.
