About Me
As a Paraplanner at Baggette & Co, I play a key role in supporting our clients throughout their financial journeys.
My day-to-day work involves carrying out in-depth research and producing detailed reports to ensure each client receives a tailored and comprehensive financial plan. I’m also an active member of our Investment Committee, where I coordinate meetings, contribute to discussions about our panel of investments, and help implement any changes to our investment offering—all with the aim of delivering strategies that suit each client’s needs.
My focus on accuracy and careful planning enables me to prepare truly holistic reports that align with our clients’ varied financial goals and circumstances.
My Professional Background
Finance and investments have always fascinated me, but my career path led me into pensions after completing my BA (Hons) in Business Management. Before joining Baggette, I developed my expertise at a SSAS pension provider, where I gained valuable experience in pensions, particularly in relation to commercial property investment.
I’m currently working towards the RQF Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning with the CII, with the goal of qualifying as a Financial Adviser in the coming years.
What Drives Me in My Role
Whilst I’m not directly advising clients, I really value being able to support our advisers in delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships through accurate and actionable reports.
Another key driver for me is continuous learning. The financial landscape is constantly evolving, with new regulations, economic shifts and products, which creates a rich environment for ongoing development. Being part of the Investment Committee enhances this further, as it gives me exposure to strategic discussions and market analysis.
Last, but by no means least, is the satisfaction that comes from making a tangible difference to clients’ financial wellbeing. In my role, I help people navigate complex financial matters and take steps towards more secure futures. That impact is hugely rewarding and a big part of what motivates me every day.
Life Outside of Work
Away from the desk, life for me is all about balance. I’m a dedicated sports fan and, while my rugby playing days are behind me, I still enjoy watching the game with a beer in hand. I’m a big fan of the Six Nations Championship and the fierce rivalry between the Home Nations.
I also prioritise staying active by going to the gym and cycling, often exploring the picturesque countryside of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire on two wheels.
To unwind, I enjoy listening to country music, discovering the best food spots along the South Coast and getting stuck into a good TV series.
