About Me
I have been in the financial services and banking sector all of my life, with over 35 years’ experience in the industry. I pride myself on delivering a first-class, personal and professional service, looking after more than 180 clients across all parts of the UK. I am also fully qualified to provide advice on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Estate Planning and Inheritance Tax, with over 13 years’ experience in this area.
My Professional Background
I started my career on a Youth Training Scheme and went on to work as a Financial Adviser within several national banks. My main role has always been as a Financial Adviser, alongside holding senior management positions. I became an Independent Financial Adviser in 2004, the role I continue to do today.
What Drives Me in My Role
I am very passionate about the job I do and love delivering personal, professional, face-to-face, straight-talking financial advice in plain English that is easy to understand and free of jargon. I take great pleasure in helping clients retire, maintain their living standards in retirement, and guiding them with regular contact to ensure they fulfil their retirement dreams, goals and ambitions.
Life Outside of Work
I am married to Debbie and we have two wonderful daughters, Lauren and Charlotte, both of whom are doing exceptionally well in their respective careers. Debbie and I love to travel, either with or without the family, with favourite destinations including Greece, Italy, Thailand, as well as enjoying a number of cruises.
My main passion is aviation. My elder daughter and I often travel to Heathrow, stay overnight in a hotel overlooking one of the main runways, and spend hours together “doing our thing”.
My motto in life is something one of my clients said to me a few years ago, before I retired her: “Life is not a dress rehearsal. You only have one life — live it and enjoy it to the full.”
