Baggette + Co. Wealth Management has continued its strategic growth with the acquisition of Burgess Williams, an independent financial advice firm based in Southampton. With the acquisition now complete, clients across Hampshire and the South Coast have joined our team in Poole, where they will be looked after by a Chartered and fiercely independent financial planning firm.
Burgess Williams was built over many years by its owner, Philip Williams, who will be supporting the Baggette + Co. team with the transition in a non-advisory role. Philip’s priority throughout the process was the future of his clients. He wanted them placed with a firm that shared his values, where genuine independence sat at the heart of the advice, and where the personal care they had always known would continue. Those priorities led him to Baggette + Co.
Philip Williams, former owner of Burgess Williams, said:

Baggette + Co. was established in Poole in 1986 and has grown steadily ever since. Following a management buyout in 2023 by Oscar and Jo Hjälmås, the firm has expanded to more than 30 professionals, supporting clients across Dorset, Bournemouth, Hampshire and the wider South Coast. The acquisition of Burgess Williams continues that growth and brings a new community of clients around Southampton into the firm.
